In Khmer, Ruom Kanea means gathering together — and that’s what we’ve been doing for over ten years. Our Asia-based team includes photographers, videographers, producers, and journalists drawn together by a passion for documentary and investigative work.
We work with news media organisations, UN Agencies, and NGOs in the Asia region and beyond.

Documentary Film & Video
Ruom Collective boasts over 20 years of combined experience managing and directing documentaries, films, and advocacy videos, from inception to delivery for clients like The BBC, CNN, CBS and YouTube Originals.
Photography
Images can challenge the status quo and serve as catalysts for change. Ruom members have a track record of delivering compelling photographs for the likes of The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and Getty Images.
Investigative journalism
We are experienced interviewers and researchers, often working on sensitive topics. Our investigative rigour and ethical standards have earned us Pulitzer Grants and reporting projects for organisations such as Bloomberg, Al Jazeera, VICE, The Guardian, and elsewhere.
