A Seat at the Table

“Seat at the Table” aims to paint a truly global picture of the climate emergency facing our world. 28-year-old Jack Harries, is a filmmaker and former YouTube content creator who has talked with farmers and firefighters, inventors and activists. People whose voices need to be heard at the COP26’s global climate conference.

In Cambodia, we shot the story of Chhum Shim, a Cambodian rice farmer impacted by weather patterns altered by climate change. To pay back the loan she took out for her farm, she and her family left their home in the countryside to work in a brick kiln in the capital. She, like many others, is a climate migrant.

In Bangkok, we filmed with Kotchakorn Voraakhom, a Thai landscape architect working to design environmentally friendly green space in Thailand.

How the Climate Crisis Affects Us All

The climate crisis is causing rising sea levels and nowhere is this more apparent than in the Isles of Scilly - a coastal UK area that’s just years away from being submerged. So Jack’s talking to Sir David Attenborough and other climate activists around the world about what we can do before it’s too late. …Or is it already too late?

Farming That Reverses Climate Change

The way we farm food is contributing to climate change so Jack is looking at innovative ways to grow it instead. Poppy Okotcha guest stars to discuss regenerative agriculture which not only stops the release of carbon but reduces the amount of it in the atmosphere.
